Can Bearded Dragons Eat Mice?

Can Bearded Dragons Eat Mice?

Yes, however there is a difference between pinkies and adult mice. Pinkies are newborn mice that have soft bones, and no hair, or teeth while older mice are nearly adults and, as such, will have developed these. You can only feed your dragon pinkies as anything older will be extremely difficult for your dragon to digest, and this will lead to serious health issues such as impaction. Only adult dragons over two years of age can eat pinkies as an additional source of protein; you must never feed them to babies or juveniles.

Also, make sure not to make it a regular part of your bearded dragon diet; they can only be fed once a month at most. They are best used for when your dragon needs a protein and nutrient boost such as when your female has just laid eggs.
