Why Does My Crested Gecko Make Noises?

Why Does My Crested Gecko Make Noises?

Crested geckos are very vocal creatures; they will often make their mood evident by making noises; this is usually a "chirping" or "barking" sound.

The chirping sound is usually associated when your pet gecko has been surprised or is uncomfortable in some way. Chirping may also be a sound emitted from a female gecko to another male gecko to let him know to leave her alone. If your gecko seems to chirp at you, then it is merely mistaking you as a threat or as another gecko trying to harass it.

The barking noise is the same as the chirping noise only more vocal; this simply means that the gecko is being more assertive and could be more uncomfortable.
