Cranberries are a natural food for many North American species of aquatic turtles. The ReptiSticks themselves are made with fish meal, shrimp, and kale to simulate a turtle's natural diet and are fortified with essential vitamins and minerals.
Instructions for Use:
Zoo Med Gourmet ReptiSticks is scientifically formulated to meet the dietary needs of growing turtles with a shell length of 2 inches or larger.
Open container and spoon out 1 level teaspoon of food per turtle. Let turtles feed for a minimum of 1 hour. Remove any uneaten food after 1 hour. (Note: The floating cranberries can be left in the tank as some aquatic turtles take time to develop a taste for them.) If your turtles eat all of their food in a short time, you may want to increase the food amount to 1 level tablespoon, per turtle, or more per feeding.
Feed turtles every other day (four times per week). Do not overfeed your turtles.
For adult turtles (7 inches and larger), supplement with Zoo Med Natural Aquatic Turtle Food - Maintenance Formula.
It is best practice to offer fresh food as the majority of your pet turtle's diet. However, prepared diets like Zoo Med Gourmet ReptiSticks add essential variety to their nutrition and are good to have on hand as a backup in case of emergency.
