Zoo Med TurtleTherm Automatic Preset Aquatic Turtle Heater, 300w
Like other reptiles, turtles are ectothermic ("cold-blooded"), which means that they don't produce their own body heat. Instead, they depend on external heat sources like the Sun for the heat energy that their bodies need to function properly. Aside from providing a warm, dry basking area, aquatic turtles also need their water heated to a specific temperature.
The Zoo Med TurtleTherm Automatic Preset Aquatic Turtle Heater comes pre-set to heat your turtle's water to a comfortable 78°F. Use the included suction cups to place it on the side or black glass of your turtle's aquarium, and make sure it's fully submerged before plugging it in. The Zoo Med TurtleTherm Automatic Preset Aquatic Turtle Heater includes a programmed automatic safety shut-off if removed from water.
Suitable for heating up to 100 gallons of water.
