Bearded dragons are omnivores, which means that they need to eat both plant and animal foods to get the nutrition that they need. Young bearded dragons are rapidly growing, so they need lots of protein from insects to help fuel that growth. As they reach adulthood, their nutritional needs change from growth to maintenance, and so they start to eat more greens than insects.

Providing a varied diet to your pet bearded dragon is very important to both their mental and physical health. Using a rotation of different foods gives your pet new experiences and helps keep them active, engaged, and looking forward to what the next meal will bring. Variety also helps mimic a bearded dragon's natural diet in the wild, helping create the most balanced nutrition possible.

Zoo Med’s Gourmet Bearded Dragon Food adds enrichment to your dragon’s diet through variety, with dried blueberries, mealworms, and rose petals. Zoo Med has over 30 years of experience researching the nutritional requirements of reptiles and developing foods that meet their needs. This natural food is fortified with essential vitamins and minerals, and has no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives to worry about.

Instructions for Use:

This formula is for bearded dragons over 8" in length.

To use, moisten food with water to create a flavorful mash that bearded dragons will love. If your dragon is hesitant to eat Zoo Med Gourmet Bearded Dragon Food at first, mix the moistened food with their current diet and slowly reduce the amount of current diet until completely switched over.

Offer Zoo Med Gourmet Bearded Dragon Food on a free choice basis and replace daily. This product may be mixed with fresh greens, fruits, and vegetables for increased variety and acceptance.

It is best practice to offer fresh food as the majority of your pet bearded dragon's diet. However, prepared diets like Zoo Med Gourmet Bearded Dragon Food can add essential variety to their nutrition and are good to have on hand as a backup in case of emergency.
