Most aquatic turtles commonly kept as pets, such as red-eared sliders and painted turtles, are omnivores. Omnivores require a balanced diet of both plant and animal matter to get the nutrition that they need.

Zoo Med Natural Aquatic Turtle Food – Maintenance Formula has been scientifically formulated to meet the specific dietary requirements of fully-grown aquatic turtles.

Instructions for Use:

This food is formulated for fully grown or large turtles with a shell length of more than 6 inches. Open the container and spoon out 1 level teaspoon of food per turtle. Let turtles feed for a minimum of 1 hour. Any uneaten food left after this time should be removed and discarded.

If your turtle eats all of their food in a short time, you may want to increase the amount.

It is best practice to offer fresh food as the majority of your pet turtle's diet. However, prepared diets like Zoo Med Natural Aquatic Turtle Food – Maintenance Formula add essential variety to their nutrition and are good to have on hand as a backup in case of emergency.
