Dubia are the best feeder insect to keep long term. In fact, if you store your Dubia at room temp they will even stay the same size for up to 6 months. NutriGrubs (Black Soldier Fly Larvae), Superworms, and Waxworms are also good choices and can be stored for a few weeks at a time. Please keep in mind that variety is important when it comes to your pets diet, so try to offer more than 1-2 food items per week.

Live food is always recommended, but there will be times when live food may not be available. Here are a few items we have had luck with:

If you do find yourself in a difficult situation and you think you will start to run out of food for your pet, it is important to understand that reptiles are very resilient and some can go days or even weeks without food. Although not recommended, if you only have a few days worth of live food and need to make it last a bit longer, we suggest slowly reducing the amount of food you are feeding your pet.

• Bulbs (keep track of how often your heat/uvb bulb burns out and try to buy a backup about 1-2 months earlier than when you usually replace it)
