Exo Terra Thermostat, 100w
Reptiles, being ectothermic or "cold-blooded," cannot generate their own body warmth. They depend on external heat sources, such as the Sun, to maintain the energy their bodies require for proper functioning. However, each reptile species has unique temperature needs — a temperature ideal for a leopard gecko might be harmful to a ball python. Therefore, monitoring and controlling the environment in your pet’s habitat is crucial.
The Exo Terra Thermostat is a reliable on/off thermostat designed to regulate the temperature of non-light emitting heat sources, including ceramic heat emitters, under-tank heaters, heat panels, and heat cables.
Featuring a recessed dial to avoid unintended temperature adjustments during handling, this thermostat also includes a waterproof remote sensor, making it ideal for use in humid terrariums or aquatic setups. Its electronic Triac switch ensures precise temperature maintenance, minimizing fluctuations and maintaining a stable environment in the enclosure.
How to Use:
Plug your heating device into the Exo Terra ON/OFF Thermostat, adjust to the desired temperature, and position the heat sensor in the appropriate location. A Red LED indicator will illuminate when the heater is active and turn off once the set temperature is achieved.
Ensure the Exo Terra Thermostat is adjusted to meet the specific needs of your reptile. Research the preferred optimal temperature range (POTR) for your pet to establish the correct thermal gradient in the terrarium, allowing proper thermoregulation.
Note: The 100w Exo Terra Thermostat is compatible with devices up to 100w.
