Our Small NutriGrubs (Black Soldier Fly Larvae) are significantly smaller than our Medium CalciGrubs, making them an ideal primary food source for tiny reptiles, baby reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, fish, and birds. They can be kept at room temperature or chilled to extend their shelf life. Using a wine cooler, a standard cooler, or placing them near an air vent is recommended. Be cautious with standard refrigerators as temperatures below 55°F may harm them.
Helpful Hint: If some grubs start turning black, they’re nearing the "fly" stage. Allow them to transform into flies for a fun and enriching treat for your pet. These slow-moving flies are easy prey and might be more appealing if your pet isn’t fond of the larvae!
