Usage Instructions
Use the Exo Terra Cricket Pen as a storage or transport container for crickets. Slide a tube out, lower the flapper to block escapes, and if necessary, cover the tube opening with your hand while moving to the terrarium. Uncover and tap lightly to dispense the desired number of crickets. Remove only one tube at a time to prevent escapes.
Cricket Maintenance
Keep crickets in a well-aired space at 21-23°C (70-75°F) with low humidity levels. Avoid placing the pen in direct sunlight or chilly drafts. Ensure the pen remains clean and dry. Provide high-quality cricket food and water (gel) constantly using the provided shallow dishes. If gel isn’t available, a moist sponge can substitute, but avoid plain water to prevent drowning.
Cleaning Guidelines
Regular cleaning of the unit is essential. Clear out debris and waste, then rinse the entire pen with hot water. Avoid using soap or detergents, as residues could harm or kill the crickets.
