The calcium levels in Pangea Growth & Breeding Complete Gecko Diet with Insects are close to the upper limit for a complete diet. If your breeding females show signs of calcium depletion, it’s safe to mix in additional plain calcium or provide it separately in a dish for them to access as needed.

This diet is ideal as the main food source for breeding female or young Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, Leachianus, Day Geckos, and Mourning Geckos.

Feeding Guidelines:

Offer Pangea Growth & Breeding Complete Gecko Diet with Insects as per the recommended feeding schedule. This mix for reptile breeders is thicker and typically consumed best when prepared to a ketchup-like consistency using 2.5 parts water to 1 part powder.

Provide this diet at least 4-5 days per week. Note that most geckos might not finish their portions each time, unlike with lower-fat diets.

Supplementing with live insects occasionally is advised but not mandatory. While a complete diet covers nutritional needs, adding insects periodically can enhance health and provide mental stimulation. For optimal growth, offer crickets once or twice weekly to Crested Geckos until they reach about 15 grams, after which live feedings can be reduced or stopped.

Prepared mix remains fresh for up to 7 days when refrigerated. Unopened dry mix lasts for 6 months at room temperature or up to 1 year if kept cold. Unopened packages are best used within 2 years.
