How to Use the Meter
Simply point the sensor on the top of the Solarmeter toward a UV light source and press the button on the front to take a reading. Record the distance from the source to ensure consistent measurements. The device operates on a 9V battery, functional down to 6.5V. When the display dims, it’s time to replace the battery, which typically lasts around 2 years under normal use.
Guidelines for Safe Use of Solarmeter® UV Radiometer
Always wear protective eyewear when testing UV lamps (wraparound glasses are recommended). Ensure lamps are fully warmed up (at least 15 minutes) before taking measurements.
