The Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB is a high-quality T8 fluorescent bulb crafted by specialists in Germany. This bulb emits a moderate level of UVB, making it ideal for reptiles with lower UVB needs in shorter or shallower enclosures.
Usage Guidelines:
Mount the 24" Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB in a 24" Zoo Med ReptiSun T8 Terrarium Hood and position it above the basking zone. It works best for low-UVB reptiles in terrestrial setups approximately 48" in length and up to 18" in height.
To ensure consistent UVB output, replace the Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB every 6 months. For optimal performance, pair it with a Zoo Med Digital UV Index Radiometer or a Solarmeter 6.5.

Measurements are taken from the bulb’s tip to the basking area or reptile. Note that UVI readings are estimates and can decrease by 30-40% when the bulb is placed over a mesh screen.
