Reptile Heat Mats

Heat mats provide radiant warmth from below, simulating the effect of a sun-warmed surface in the wild. They are most suitable for crepuscular and nocturnal reptiles, and work best with a layer of substrate less than 2" thick.

The heat mat should be about 1/4 to 1/2 the size of the enclosure floor, depending on the size of the reptile that will be using it. The reptile should be able to fit its whole body on the mat.
