Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent UVB 13w
UVB light, a vital component of natural sunlight, is crucial for the well-being of most reptiles. It supports strong, healthy bones and contributes to numerous other vital processes in their bodies.
The Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent UVB bulb delivers 10% UVB and 30% UVA output, encouraging natural behaviors and enhancing reptile health. Designed for easy installation, it fits into a standard E27 socket and is compact enough for use in smaller terrariums.
Usage Guidelines:
Mount the Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent in a Zoo Med Naturalistic Terrarium Hood and position it above the basking zone. This bulb is ideal for small arboreal terrariums up to 18" in height or small terrestrial setups up to 20" in length. For bigger enclosures, consider the stronger Zoo Med T5 HO Reptisun 10.0 instead!
New compact fluorescent bulbs experience a "burn-in" phase where UVB and light output are at their peak for approximately two weeks. After this initial period, you might need to adjust the bulb closer to the basking area. Check the included instructions for optimal placement distances during and post burn-in.
Replace the Zoo Med ReptiSun 10.0 Mini Compact Fluorescent every 6 months to ensure consistent performance. Pair it with a Zoo Med Digital UV Index Radiometer or a Solarmeter 6.5 for accurate monitoring.

Reptiles have varying UVB needs. Consult the Arcadia UV Index Lighting Guide to find the right UVI for your pet’s basking area.
Distances are measured from the bulb tip to the reptile or basking spot. UVI values are approximate and may drop by 30-40% when the bulb is used over a mesh screen.
