What are mealworms?
Mealworms are the larval stage of Tenebrio molitor, a type of darkling beetle. For decades, these little "worms" have been popular feeders and can be offered as part of a varied diet to bearded dragons, leopard geckos, skinks, frogs, tarantulas, scorpions, birds, and other exotic pets!
Our pre-cupped option is great for hobbyists that want a convenient alternative to "boxed" or "bagged" feeders and pet stores or resellers wanting a professional pre-packaged solution.
How often should mealworms be offered?
Mealworms can be used as a regular part of your pet's diet, preferably as a rotation with at least two other types of "staple" feeder insects.

How to care for mealworms:
Mealworms should be kept chilled in a wine cooler, which will enable you to adjust the temp higher than a fridge, but lower than room temp. You can also put them on the top shelf of a refrigerator door between 42 and 50 degrees. They will become dormant and stay in perfect condition for 30 days.
