Our Small CalciGrubs™ (Black Soldier Fly Larvae) are less than half the size of our Medium CalciGrubs. They are a great staple food item for many small species of reptiles, hatchling reptiles, amphibians, inverts, fish, birds, etc. They can be stored at room temperature or they can be cooled down for a longer shelf-life. Wine coolers, regular coolers, or under an air vent works great. Most fridges are colder than the recommended 55F and could kill them.

NOTE: Our black soldier fly larvae are fed an extremely high-quality, plant-based diet to deliver optimal nutrition for your pet. However, this does mean that they tend to grow and pupate faster than black soldier fly larvae from other breeders. For best results with our black soldier fly larvae, make sure to keep them cool (~55°F) and only buy one month's supply at a time.
