Our Small NutriGrubs (Black Soldier Fly Larvae) are significantly smaller than our Medium CalciGrubs, making them an excellent primary food source for tiny reptiles, baby reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, fish, and birds. They can be kept at room temperature or cooled to extend their shelf life. Using a wine cooler, regular cooler, or placing them near an air vent is ideal. Avoid standard refrigerators as temperatures below 55°F may harm them.
Handy Tip: If some grubs start turning black, they are nearing the "fly" stage. Allow them to transform into flies for a fun treat! Your pet will love chasing these slow-moving flies, which are easy to catch. Even if your pet isn’t fond of the grubs, they might enjoy the flies as a stimulating snack.
