1. Can I use this for my bearded dragon's enclosure?
These are great for any terrestrial desert reptile, you will need to ensure that the correct temperatures and UVB coverage are achieved for the size of the tank that you have and also the size of your beardie. These are good for a 20-75 gallon enclosure, anything bigger and you may need to supplement your enclosure by using higher water bulbs or a supplemental fixture. Ensure that you measure your temperatures accurately and that your pet is getting the UVB that they need.
2. Can this be attached to my screen top?
This kit is made to sit on top of a screen lid, facing downwards. For added safety it is recommended to use this in conjunction with the Zoo Med Reptile Lamp Stand Small or the Zoo Med Reptile Lamp Stand Large.
3. Can I use this for my ceramic heat emitter bulbs?
No, Ceramic heat emitter bulbs are UL approved for use only in wire clamp type fixtures, using them in a dome fixture can cause heat to be encapsulated in the base of the dome which can cause significant damage to the wiring and compromise safety.
4. Does each light have it's own on/off switch?
Yes, each light has an individual on/off switch.
