Mealworms for Sale
Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) are popular feeders for a variety of pet invertebrates, amphibians, and reptiles, particularly leopard geckos. Mealworms are the larval form of the darkling beetle — as are superworms, but the two are different types.
Since mealworms have a harder shell than superworms, certain species may find them more difficult to digest. But they can be a nutritious feeder insect when gut-loaded properly, with moderate amounts of both protein and fat. Mealworms do not have a balanced calcium to phosphorus ratio, so they must be dusted with a high-quality calcium powder before feeding.
